Gra jest warta zainteresowania z przynajmniej dwóch powodów. Po pierwsze, jest przygodówką point-n-click, dość leciwym gatunkiem ale wciąż niezmiennie grywalnym i wartym zainteresowania, a po drugie (co wynika zresztą z jej tytułu) - gra wyśmiewa komunistów i trochę też co przychodzi mi na myśl gdy odpaliłem Irony Curtain - to inna gra przygodowa, Deponia. Komunistyczna przygodówka jest utrzymana w bardzo podobnym komiksowym stylu graficznym, który ciężko oceniać inaczej niż "pierwsza liga". Czapki z głów przed artystami którzy rysowali tła i postaci w grze, a także je animowali, bo to zdecydowanie światowy bohater natomiast, dla lepszego efektu, zaanimowany został w pełnym 3D z cel shadingiem, przez co ma płynniejsze animacje poruszania (a rysownicy oszczędzili kilkaset obrazków) i w wersjach na stacjonarne konsole nie widać praktycznie różnicy między resztą grafiki w grze. Niestety w wersji na Switcha przez brak antyaliasingu postać ma ostre krawędzie, a "obrys" staje się prawie niewidoczny, przez co Evan mocno odstaje od reszty gry. Gorsze, że eShopie są screeny z konsol/PC i przed zakupem się tego nie dowiecie, ale z drugiej strony nie ma to większego wpływu na grę jeśli nie jesteśmy bezkrawędziowy Switch...... i normlany Evan na PS4Nie jestem wielkim znawcą point-n-clicków, ale przez ostatnie kilka lat grałem co najmniej w tak znane tytuły jak Deponia, Valiant Hearts czy Machinarium (gry od Telltale też bym podciągnął). Gry na tak wysokim poziomie, że można je spokojnie wybrać jako wyznacznik maksymalnej oceny do porównania z Irony Curtain. Jak na tym tle wypada polska gra? Perfekcyjnie. Zagadki stoją na świetnym poziomie, kilka razy naprawdę ostro się zblokowałem, ale z pomocą "infolinii" do mamy bohatera, lub też różnych prześmiesznych biur komunistycznych można zostać naprowadzonym na kolejny krok (ale nigdy wprost). Pełno tu różnorakiego humoru, począwszy od ciągłego pecha we wszystkim co robi główny bohater, poprzez imiona bohaterów (np. towarzysz Bredniev) które często są oczkiem puszczonym albo w stronę komunistycznych przywódców albo czasom nowożytnym, a rzeczy tak absurdalne jak bomby lotnicze wiszące na drzewie niczym bombki, czy proszek do prania CzernoBiel nie są tutaj czymś dziwnym. Buzia uśmiecha się często. Główną osią fabuły są przygody wspomnianego Evana, który jest amerykaninem, miłośnikiem komunizmu który wierzy w propagandowe przekazy i wychwala ustrój za jego pseudo-zalety. Dostaje zaproszenie do jednego z komunistycznych krajów i… jego wizja szybko zderza się z bolesną prawdą. Bardzo mocno się zderza, bowiem uwikłany zostaje w spisek - ale o tym dowiecie się już grając w chodzi i sam gameplay, sterować możemy na dwa sposoby - dowolnie poruszać się postacią i w miejscach gdzie pokaże się mała gwiazdka, przyciskiem wywoływać menu kontekstowe akcji (zazwyczaj "zobacz", "użyj" i "weź z/do kieszeni"). Druga opcja to prawą gałką wybrać taki element za pomocą celownika. Strzałką w górę można te podświetlić wszystkie klikalne elementy, bez czego byłoby ciężko przejść grę, bowiem w wersji na Switcha natrafiłem tutaj na mały problem. Podchodząc do interaktywnych elementów, czasem niestety nie chcą się one aktywować bez wskazania ich kursorem, można by więc uznać, że nie są interaktywne. Dzieje się to losowo, więc jest to lekko denerwujące - ale przynajmniej kursor nigdy nie zawodzi i zawsze wskazując nim taki element, wywołamy jakąś akcję. Drugim problemem jest poruszanie się po menu kontekstowym - odniosłem wrażenie, że korzystając z lewej gałki wybieramy opcje "po kolei, po okręgu", więc naciskając gałkę na dół, najpierw dość często podświetla się opcja… po prawej. Może to mieć związek z tym, że po opcjach skaczemy też triggerami i gałka emuluje tamto zachowanie. Ogólnie lepiej chyba przeskakiwać wszędzie gdzie się da pomiędzy ikonami właśnie triggerami, bo inaczej można doznać irytacji. Marudzę na drobiazgi, ale tylko takie problemy z grą znalazłem. Jeśli się jednak gdzieś zatniemy i nie wiem co zrobić dalej (chociaż podświetlając wszystkie elementy interaktywne - także oglądając jakiś przedmiot - ciężko się naprawdę mocno zaciąć), praktycznie wszędzie możemy znaleźć telefon i zadzwonić do mamy albo jakiegoś komunistycznego doradcy, który między słowami podpowie nam co dalej. Nie poprowadzi nas za rękę, ale zasugeruje dalszą drogę - i też robi to w sposób warstwie dźwiękowej ciężko coś zarzucić. Gra ma nagrane pełne angielskie dialogi, bohater komentuje nawet akcje kontekstowe - więc jest to pierwsza liga. Teoretycznie są też polskie napisy ale w wersji Switchowej nie udało mi się znaleźć sposobu na ich włączenie. Być może to wina wersji recenzenckiej, ale w sklepie PS Store wyraźnie widzę, że "Polski" jest na liście wersji językowych (napisy), więc duże konsole nie powinny mieć tego problemu. Fajne są też nawiązania do typowo rosyjskiej (radzieckiej?) muzyki, w tym hymnu. Na plus zasługuje też kolorowanie napisów które lecą do dialogów - nawet gdy zagramy z wyciszonym z jakiegoś powodu dźwiękiem, bez trudu będziemy wiedzieli kiedy mówi która postać, mimo braku komiksowych "chmurek" z ust, które tutaj zaciemniały by po prostu więc całość, mimo drobnych uwag które miałem, na tle innych gier z tego gatunku Irony Curtain jest zdecydowanie w pierwszej lidze i nasz rodzimy produkt nie ma się czego wstydzić. Jedyny problem z nią to właśnie czasem kłopotliwy wybór akcji, co w grze point-n-click akurat ma znaczenie i tak naprawdę tylko za to odejmuję grze punkty. Mam jednak nadzieję, że element ten można poprawić patchem i wtedy chętnie podniosę ocenę o jedno oczko. Trzymam kciuki za kolejne produkcje - Artifex Mundi wysoko zawiesił sobie poprzeczkę i oby firma w kolejnych grach zawsze poprawiała swój poziom.
